Bretts Comparison Project. I liked using Animoto because it was fun and very easy. It was much more fun than doing work in the classroom, but at the same time we learned just as much. It was also much quicker than doing a whole packet and learning the exact same stuff.

In our last blog, we had to use creative commons to get photos instead of getting them straight off of search engines. I didn’t really understand why we had to do this, and i didn’t really like it because you didn’t have as many photo choices as usual. We used the website Flickr, and it was a bit confusing and I had to ask for help on most of the things.  It would’ve been much easier just to use Google instead of going through this long, drawn out process just to find one photo.

I have enjoyed working with the blogs, it is much more entertaining than doing book work. I have learned that there is a difference between blogging, facebook, and text messaging. I like embedding work on my blog because it lets us show what we like, how we feel about things, and it lets us be creative. I like that people can comment on my blogs so i can see what they think about my interests. I think that blogging will be beneficial for the future because computers are the new thing, and now businesses are doing it, so you might have to do a blog for a job. I would like to make more voki posts for things that I like, and I would like to show more of who I am on my blog.

1.Intro We covered vocabulary and grammar that deals with out daily routine for getting ready to go somewhere. We also learned what a reflexive verb is in Spanish and how to use them correctly.

2.What we did We were required to use an avatar from voki to discuss our daily routine for getting ready for school. First we had to write a script in Spanish on how we get ready each morning for school, then we gave our teacher a rough draft and she told us if there were errors or not in our script. After correcting our script and practicing saying the words correctly in Spanish, and we used our cell phone to call in and record our daily routine script. Then our avatar was e-mailed to our teacher and embedded here on my blog. This entire project counts as a six weeks test grade, so we had to put some effort in it.

3. How do i feel? I feel that this was a good/fun way to learn our Spanish. I liked using the voki avatar because it lets us show what we are like and it was fun to make the characters. I do like using the avatar for the speaking tests because it was easier to do it that way instead of speaking Spanish in person, in front of the whole class. I think it was valuable to do this as a language learner because  it was a way to learn a lot of our Spanish, but at the same time is was very fun and easy to do.

In the second six weeks we reviewed over adjectives. I made a stixy board using 10 sentences with different verb phrases. Heres the link to my board:
